In 2013 Simon Hodge, a Senior Lecturer of Agricultural and Life Sciences at Lincoln University, in Canterbury, New Zealand, begun analysing the one hundred and fifty four parent's submissions from a New Zealand national survey, held by myself, on colic and reflux, at the end of 2012.
Together, Philippa and Simon compared the results with other international studies, and co-authored a research paper called, 'Crying newborns: The colic and reflux situation in New Zealand as depicted by online questionnaire' which can be read here. The paper was published in December 2014 in the Academic Journals - International Journal of Nursing and Midwifery.
The parents whom took part were also given the opportunity to express their experience in their own words with Philippa promising them that they would be collated and made available in hope of creating a parenting voice for change and understanding, both in New Zealand and worldwide. This book, called 'BabyCues, Living with Colic and Reflux' can be downloaded for free, or a donation here.
